Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does my child have homework tonight?
Yes, your child should read, practice spelling words, and work on math facts each night. There will be reading, math, science or social studies assignments as well throughout the week. Check planners and/or homework page each night.
2. What do I do with the planner?
Please sign or initial every night. Homework should be listed towards the bottom of each day - it is listed as HW and circled. Daily work is listed as well, if it needs to be completed at home, the assignment should be circled. I check planners every morning.
3. How do I pay for my child's lunch?
You may deposit money into your child's lunch money account or send money to school with your child in an envelope with their name and lunch money marked on it. For more information, please link below and click on MealPayPlus.

4. What time is lunch and may I come eat with my child?
Our lunch time is 11:55-12:30. Yes, you may have lunch with your child. Just meet him or her in the cafeteria and enjoy! Also Mr. Bea is always looking for parent volunteers to help in the lunchroom each day. Ask about volunteering in the office.
5. May I send in a birthday treat?
Sure! Please let me know ahead of time so we can chose a time that works for our class. No cakes or homemade items please. Small wrapped or store bought treats work the best.
6. Can my child pass out birthday invitations to the class?
Invitations to parties may be passed out ONLY if each and every child is invited. Otherwise, please mail or e-mail the invitations.
7. May I have a list of the children's names, addresses and phone numbers?
I can supply you with a list of names. However, I cannot give out e-mails, addresses, or phone numbers. Some families prefer to be unlisted.
8. Does my child need to keep gym shoes at school?
No. If they want to participate in gym class they will need to have gym shoes, they may want to keep a pair of gym shoes in their locker.
9. How long many we keep library books?
One week - they may renew their books during our library time.
10. When do progress reports and report cards come home?
Progress reports come home 5 weeks into each marking period.
Report cards come home November, January, March and June.
